Mike come to RaceChain with 25 years Board and C Level experience. He is a natural innovator who has been responsible for identifying and implementing new commercial strategies, revenue generation and business growth within the sports, gaming, and the publishing sector.

Mike was pivotal in the transformation of a traditional publishing business, Racing Post, from an advertising and cover price revenue model, into the Spotlight Sports Group, a data and technology led business, with the creation of new multimillion (B2B and B2C) affiliate, subscription, and data services.

Steve Winfield joins the team

Steve Winfield- Equine Specialist

The vision is for "ordinary" people to be able to hold hassle-free shareholdings in horses all over the world".



With a background in senior management within the Financial Services industry, Steve is now active as a Non-Executive director and is the Chair of two regulatory bodies. He is a lifelong racing enthusiast and owns a small stud producing horses for National Hunt racing.

He is a racehorse owner and is very well connected within the racing industry.

He also sits on the Independent Disciplinary Panel for The British Horseracing Authority (BHA).

With a illustrious financial services and technology background Philip is a hands-on, energetic chartered accountant (FCA),and former partner of BDO LLP


Philip has wide-ranging experience across finance competencies including strategy, planning, operations, fundraising and governance, investor relations reporting and control , treasury, taxation M&A – due diligence, valuation, SPA and integration experience.

RaceChain wins Oxford University Prize

OXBC Cup

RaceChain was entered in the OXBC - Oxford Blockchain Foundation Startup competition held at Oxford University, Saïd Business School.

Competing with some 25 different business concepts it took first prize for a business idea.

The judges commented that the idea fulfilled the real value of a block hain, providing assurance and electronic trading to an industry that is ripe for next generation technology. They particularly liked the democratisation of ownership, allowing new participants from all over the world to enjoy owning horses, which is typically out of their reach.

Peter Chadha founds RaceChain

Dr Peter Chadha, Founder

Peter started his career with a PhD studying the Blood-Brain-Barrier at UCL, quickly following on to his passion in technology.

Later he was a director at BDO LLP helping high tech an online gaming clients like Playtech, Poker Stars, Sportingbet and Party Gaming.

His first experience in horse racing was carrying out technology consultancy for the Jockey Club and more recently Peter was the CTO for the Racing Post undertaking a radical IT transformation programme.

Whist undertaking a course at Oxford University, studying blockchain technology at the Saïd Business School, Peter developed RaceChain, as he felt it would correct many of the current and future challenges facing the industry.
